Diana Stetson

Diana Stetson grew up in the fields and the woods of the Hudson River Valley. She has studied and worked around the world including, Greece, France, England, Japan, and Turkmenistan. She earned a degree in biology at Reed College, where she also studied calligraphy, and a graduate diploma in art from Roehampton Institute, London, where she studied drawing, painting, binding, and the lettering arts. Stetson moved to New Mexico in 1990 and started working with printmaking. She works with drawing, painting, lithography, monotype, and collage. Stetson has received numerous grants for her work, including from the US State Department to represent American artists as a cultural liaison at US Culture Days in Turkmenistan and one from the French Ministry of Culture in Paris.
