New Mexico State Firemen's Association
The member-funded, non-profit organization's mission is to represent all firefighters in the state of New Mexico, advocate for volunteer benefits, and act as a voice for members. It accomplishes this by providing professional training, education, and legislative communications. By holding annual conventions in different locations in New Mexico, members can gain valuable knowledge on further improving firefighting education in the state and converse as a collective about aspects of fire service that will be affected by legislation. With approximately 330 members in the organization by 1985, it has been instrumental in the longtime organization of the state of New Mexico by maintaining its citizens' livelihood through rigorous firefighting training, education, and advocacy.
