Dwight H. Green (1897-1958) was an American politician who served as the 33rd Governor of Illinois from 1941 to 1949. A member of the Republican Party, Green focused on improving the state's infrastructure, including the construction of highways and the expansion of public works projects. During his tenure, he also worked on policies to support veterans and boost industrial growth in Illinois after World War II. Green ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 1948 but remained an influential figure in state politics.
