Dr. Hugh Albert Cooper (1861–1934) was a Presbyterian minister and physician who significantly impacted healthcare in New Mexico. In 1908, he founded the Southwestern Presbyterian Sanatorium in Albuquerque to treat tuberculosis patients, a disease prevalent at the time. This facility later evolved into Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a prominent healthcare system in New Mexico.
