Hose Company No. 2

Hose Company No. 2, an early fire station in Albuquerque and part of the expansion of the Albuquerque Fire Department, notably served the public from the late nineteenth century into the early twentieth century, within the years preceding the founding of New Mexico in 1912. Helping greatly during increased fire hazards and a growing population, Hose Company No. 2 played a key role in creating well-trained fire professionals and establishing a more organized fire department in Albuquerque.
