BiographyHarold Edward “Red” Grange, was an American professional football player. He was nicknamed “the Galloping Ghost” and “the Wheaton Iceman.” He spent most of his career as a halfback for the Chicago Bears. Playing football in college for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Grange was a three-time consensus All-American and in 1924 was the first player in college football history to be a unanimous All-American selection. He joined the Bears shortly after his final college game in 1925. He was a charter member of both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
