Ida Estelle Taylor was an American actress, singer, model, and animal rights activist. She was the second wife of boxer Jack Dempsey from 1925 to 1931. She made her Broadway debut in 1919 in George V. Hobart’s Come On, Charlie. While the play closed after sixteen weeks, Taylor’s performance gained the notice of critics and producers. Later that year she got a small role in the film A Broadway Saint. She then quickly earned other roles.
