William Collier Jr.

American silent era stage performer, producer, and a film actor William “Buster” Collier was born in New York City as Charles F. Gall Jr. His mother and stepfather were both actors and Collier first began on stage at the age of seven and had his first movie role in 1916 at the age of 14. A leading man in the 1920s who mad the transition from silent to sound films, Collier retired from acting in 1935 then began working as a movie and television producer.
