Rebecca Lucarioborn 1951

Rebecca Lucario was born at Acoma Pueblo in 1951, and is a member of the Yellow Corn Clan. She has been actively making traditional pottery since 1965. Rebecca learned the art of pottery, from digging and processing clay to firing the pottery, from her maternal grandmother, Delores Sanchez. She is the eldest of 5 sisters, each of whom are very accomplished pottery artists with their own different styles and designs: Diane Lewis-Garcia, Judy Lewis, Carolyn Concho, and Marilyn Ray. She is known for thin-walled pottery and intricate fine lined designs.
