Loretta Joe is a potter from Acoma trained by her grandmother, Lupe Concho, and mother, Florence Waconda. She started making pottery for sale around 1977 and is known for her traditional large polychrome jars and bowls and frequently collaborates with her husband, Lawrence Joe. Her works are in collections including the Peabody Museum.
