Charles Christopher Hill
Charles Christopher Hill is a globally recognized artist and printmaker, living and working in Los Angeles, California. He was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1948 and studied at East Los Angeles College before earning his bachelors and masters from the University of California, Irvine, where he studied with Ed Moses and Vija Celmins. His first solos exhibitions were in 1972 at galleries in Newport Beach, California. Hill has had residencies at Cité International Des Arts in Paris, France in 1993 and Eklisia in Gümüslük, Turkey in 1994. Today, his work is in collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Angers in France, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea.
