Henry Cabot Lodge Jr.

Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. (1902-1985) was an American politician and diplomat, best known for serving as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and as a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts. A member of the Republican Party, Lodge played a significant role in foreign policy, particularly during the Cold War, advocating for U.S. involvement in international organizations. He also served as the Republican vice-presidential candidate in 1960, running alongside Richard Milhous Nixon. Lodge's career in public service spanned several decades, and he continued to be a prominent figure in international diplomacy until his death.
