Dietz and Co.founded 1855

Made by Dietz & Company (Robert and Edwin Dietz) in the early 1900s. The Dietz Co. was eventually sold, and the Dietzes (possibly due to TB) moved to Albuquerque, where they purchased land in the north valley that became known as Dietz Farms. (Dietz Farms was located near Los Poblanos, the birthplace of Ambrosio Armijo and later the home of Albert and Barbara Simms, and now owned by the Rembes.) Dietz Farms was later sold to developer Dale Bellamah who developed the Dietz Farm subdivision. Dietz lanterns are now made in China.
