DescriptionThis magnifying glass features a round glass lens encased in a thin, polished metal frame. Its handle, crafted from dark-stained wood, is cylindrical and tapers slightly at the base, providing a comfortable grip. The glass lens is clear and functional, allowing for the magnification of small text or details, and is held in place by a strip of silver metal that is wrapped around the glass in a circular shape.
Though unmarked, this tool exemplifies 19th and early-20th century craftsmanship, when magnifying glasses were common in offices, libraries, and households.
