DescriptionIn the center frame there are a herd of sheep in a grassy field. Standing in front of the herd of white ewes is one black sheep, a ram. There are trees and fencing in the background.Type on the back of the photograph reads, "Picture No. 1 -- Flock of 50 native white ewes purchased at the Stockyards at $4.00 per head, with which a Purebred Karakul ram was used. Picture taken October 15th, the day the ram was turned with the ewes. The ram was one of the choice Purebred Karakuls from the flock of 'The Western Karakul Sheep & livestock Co. Ft. Collins, Colorado."
