DescriptionU.S. Army Air Corps pilots with their Curtiss P-1 Hawk pursuit airplanes at the Albuquerque Airport in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the center frame, there are four men dressed in flying gear and leather jackets. They are standing together in front of a line of three aircraft that are front, left-facing.Handwriting on the border of the photograph reads, "Boeing P-12 1936".
Written on the back of one print, "Photo looks style of 1931 1929 group. Plane #s cross ref to pic w/hangar #2 under construction".
Written on the back of 2nd print, "Part of squadron of P-12 made by Boeing with a Curtiss D-12 Motor. These ships were from Selfridge Field, Mich and came in with a group of bombers as escorts. This was when the Albuquerque, Inc, held the Army contract for service".
