DescriptionA Carson colcha, horse pictorial, attributed to Frances or Sophie Graves. Brown and white running horses galloping in alternating directions on orange background with white bands that have blue and brown chevrons. Brown fringed edges.

Embroidered on 1 over 1 natural beige wool sabanilla, 1-ply, Z-spun churro. Embroidery thread is 1Z natural beige and brown and coyote. Blue and orange is synthetically dyed 1Z, probably a churro/Rambouillet blend, using a cocha stitch, mostly single but possibly in pairs. A muslin hanging strip is sewn to the top reverse.
