DescriptionThis image depicts a high angle shot of the exterior view of the Alvarado Hotel from the railroad tracks in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A few unidentified people can be seen mingling around the waist high wall near the tracks. Behind the wall, and down a short flight of stairs, the entrance to the Fred Harvey Indian Building is visible. Behind this building, the rest of the Alvarado Hotel and the Hilton Hotel, in the far background, is visible. In the lower left is the Fred Harvey News Stand with several racks of magazines and newspapers on display.
