DescriptionA street scene looking west on Central Avenue, prior to the railroad underpass construction, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the right is the New Mexico Paper Company at 119 South John Street and Gross, Kelly and Company at 110 East Central Avenue. On the left is the Alvarado Hotel and complex and First National Bank. Cars are driving up the paved street and a few are parked on the road sides. Street lines extend to the viewer and then continue off into the distance. Railroad track gates are lifted in the distance to allow cars to cross the tracks. Central Avenue is lined with storefronts, spanning into downtown.
