DescriptionSix men stand and lay on an Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway steam locomotive at a railroad depot in New Mexico. Three men wearing dark slack suits and dark hats stand on the ground and face the camera. A fourth man sits in the cab of the locomotive and looks forward, along the track. A fifth man stands on the step leading into the cab and crosses his arms as he looks toward the camera. A sixth man is lying on the roof of the cab, resting against a smokestack and looking toward the camera. An AT&SF boxcar is behind the locomotive as well as a two-story, wooden-sided train station. A man stands on the wooden platform near the station and looks toward the camera.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
