DescriptionThis object is a molded, bluish-clear glass, likely made as campaign material for Zachary Taylor's Presidential run in 1848. The glass has a circular body with an oval-shaped base. A narrow shoulder connects the short neck located at the top of the object. One side of the object displays a raised image of George Washington's profile, with text underneath reading: "WASHINGTON." The opposite side of the glass has an image of Zachary Taylor's profile, with text below the image reading: "G. Z. TAYLOR." Small air bubbles and impurities are visible from within the glass material, but the bottle is in good physical condition. On View
