DescriptionThis bobble-head dog was produced in 1979 by the McCrory Corporation. Originally founded in 1882 by John McCrorey in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, the McCrory Corporation became known for its affordable variety store goods. This dog toy was designed to sit on a car's rear window shelf, its head bobbing with the motion of the vehicle as it drives over uneven ground. Covered in synthetic velvet, the bulldog features a brown coat and a gold collar. This nostalgic artifact offers a glimpse into late 20th-century American life, reflecting the playful novelties that once charmed families and highlighting the thoughtful design behind even the simplest toys.
