DescriptionLizzie McGrath stands with her arms crossed, left elbow resting on the back of a padded and two-toned upholstered arm chair in the studio of Mrs. Albright's Art Parlor in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her floor-length dark-colored dress has a row of more than 30 buttons down the front with floral detailing on either side of the buttons. There are two rows of ruffles along the outside of the floral detailing and around the skirt hem, and her long sleeves have floral detailing around the turned-back cuffs. Her light-colored hair is styled around the top of her face, and her gaze is to the left of the frame. Her jewelry consists of pearl-like drop earrings, a matching necklace between her shirt collar and dress collar, and delicate bracelets on both wrists. The chair has wooden elements and could be a rocking chair. Tassels hang from the bottom of the padded arms of the chair. The headrest and middle part of both armrests are a dark upholstery that contrasts with the lighter color of the rest of the chair. The studio backdrop shows part of an interior. On View
