DescriptionA man wearing glasses, a cap, and a Harley Davidson branded jacket or sweater, crouches over a small campfire pouring a hot drink into his mug. A cast iron skillet sits on the fire suggesting he is preparing a meal. A tarp or bed roll is on the ground behind him next to a parked Harley Davidson motorcycle with a small trailer attached. Next to the man and behind him, there is an empty burlap sack. Directly next to him, there is an open newspaper on the ground. The photographer's cast shadow can be seen in the foreground, slightly left of center, and makes it clear he was wearing a brimmed hat. The photographer appears to be standing, but the photograph is from a low vantage point, since the man pictured is crouching, but is seen from straight on. This suggest the photographer may have been holding the camera at waist height looking into a viewfinder from the top. This angle highlights the rocky desert terrain that is dotted with sage brush in the background. In the far background on the right edge, there is a small portion of a mountain. There is a handwritten inscription in blue ink written in cursive on the bottom margin that reads: "Elephant Butte."On View
