DescriptionThe El Sombrero Drive-In Restaurant located at 600 South Yale in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The restaurant is built to resemble the Mexican sombrero hat. The word "restaurant" is painted on what would be the brim of the hat while a large neon sign stating "El Sombrero" can be seen on what would be the pointed top of the hat. Below the rim of the hat are several large windows that would allow the photographer to see into the restaurant if not for the dark interior. A small circular patio area with numerous metal tables and chairs can be seen going around the outside of the building. The front door to the restaurant is made of glass and has a small cloth awning over it with the words "El Sombrero" written on it. Near the back of the building, a sign with the restaurant’s menu and the words "Curb Menu" is visible. The building is situated on a dirt lot with a row of small trees stretching behind the building and across the photograph.
