DescriptionThis picture depicts a view of the Rio Grande River as seen from the crest of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The river stands out from the image as a shining sliver that cuts through the gray and other side flat landscape. Several buildings can be seen near a one of the bends in the river. In the foreground of the image, a bit of the mountain and the top of two trees are visible. Rays of sunlight shines through a large cloud directly above the river and onto the bend in the river where the buildings are located.
