DescriptionSix single-sided, computer-printed pages of Deb Haaland’s speech following the announcement that she won the election to represent New Mexico’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress. The speech starts with “Hello Albuquerque!” The text includes “PAUSE” between major paragraphs and references Haaland’s historical win. The corner of each page is numbered in pencil (1-6), and the pages are not attached to each other in any way. The pages have two horizontal fold lines across them. Secretary Haaland became the first Native American woman to be elected to lead a State Party. She is one of the first Native American women to serve in Congress.
