DescriptionThe Safety Patrol of Old Town School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, stands outside the entrance to the building. Twenty-seven students, all boys, pose on the steps in their safety patrol caps, jackets, and sash belts. A police officer stands to the left of the group and a female teacher or school administrator stands to the right of the group. Everyone is facing the camera. The five boys standing in the front of the group hold a wooden pole painted with lines symbolizing "caution" or "do not enter". Two other boys in the group hold large poles with signs attached that reads, "Police STOP Dept.".
