Hardin wears a strapless gown and smiles broadly at Jackson, who is smiling widely to the right of the camera. A caption on the back of the photograph from the Spokane Daily Chronicle reads, “Sen. Jackson to Wed. Sen. Henry M. Jackson, D-Wash., and Miss Helen Eugenia Hardin of Albuquerque, N.M., will be married Dec. 16 in Albuquerque. The marriage plans of Jackson, 49, and Miss Hardin, 28, were announced today in Seattle and Albuquerque. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Moody Hardin of Albuquerque. Hardin is president of the American Gypsum Co. Jackson was first elected to the Senate in 1952 after serving six terms in the House. This picture was released Sept. 22.”On View
