Promoting the local entertainment venue in Albuquerque Owned by Dan O. Barber, the establishment's original name was Red Dog Dan's Showtime Square. Its diverse entertainment options acted as a center for Albuquerque's nightlife as it grew and eventually got transformed into Laramie Square. Despite this, it became infamous for several controversies, resulting in its ultimate decline and eventual conversion into a strip mall. Proving to be a nightlife staple in the 1970s, Red Dog Dan's reflects the historic evolution of shifting cultural trends in the city.
