Born Leonard Franklin Slye, he was an American singer, actor, and television host who became one of the most popular stars of his era. He appeared in over 100 movies and starred in “The Roy Rogers Show” on television. He was married to Dale Evans, and often appeared alongside her in his acting career. He was also known for his Golden Palomino horse named “Trigger”, and his German Shepherd dog, “Bullet”.
