Alice Acker

1935 - 1981
BiographyAlice Acker (1935 - 1981) was a Boston modernist. She was the sister of the painter Reynolds Beal and studied at the Boston Museum School, in Holland, and with Andre L'Hote in Paris. Her husband (Francisco Bartholo) was a renowned composer and they would spend time in Taos, New Mexico where she became active in the local art scene and formed a life long friendship with Andrew Dasburg.
