DescriptionBobbie Peebles of Nogal, New Mexico holds his Champion Rambouillet Ram. His parents, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Peeples, are seated behind him. Bobbie has two prize ribbons lying on the back of the Rambouillet ram. A pile of other prize ribbons lies on the rear of the ram.
This photo ran in the Albuquerque Journal in October 1947 and the caption reads: "Bobbie Peebles, 16-year-old youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Peebles of Nogal, Lincoln County, is shown above with his parents, his champion Ramouillet ram and the fistful of 13 ribbons he won with his nine prize sheep being exhibited at the New Mexico State Fair. Bobbie related Thursday he built up the flock from a $75 investment made possible in 1945 through the New Mexico Wool Growers Association. His father, born and raised in Lincoln County, says he's willing to take a back seat to a performance like that. Bobbie has been a 4-H Club member for five years."
