The parlor chair is part of an original set of Armijo furniture that includes a couch and additional chair. The chairs were owned by Doug's mother, Dolores Swanson, the sister of Jack Colligan. They were originally owned by Rebecca Candelaria Borradaile Colligan, a descendant of the Armijo family of Old Town Albuquerque. The chairs would have been part of the household of Ambrosio Armijo at Casa Armijo.
