    DescriptionA lay down machine is used to construction U.S. Highway 66 through Tijeras Canyon in New Mexico. Asphalt is dumped onto the roadway and the machine smooths the roadway into place. A man sits on top of the machine and guides it while a second man stands at the back and watches the progress.
