DescriptionThe Old Town Railroad Avenue bridge in Albuquerque, New Mexico crossing the Rio Grande River. The bridge has a wooden base with metal side rails with no overhead structures. The Bosque is bare, with only a few leafless trees in the distance, sandy shrub less banks along the river's shoreline. Railroad Avenue is now called Central Avenue and runs east to west through downtown. Albuquerque. "Railroad Avenue" came from being located along the city's railway and depot. The name was changed between 1907 and 1908. Central Avenue also overlaps with sections of the historic Route 66 Highway.
