A barrel tiled adobe building spans behind them. The man on the viwer's right, Tully Marshall, wears a three-piece suit, newsboy cap, and glasses. He holds a foldeed newspaper in his left hand. The woman, Marion Fairfax, stands next to him in a dark fur coat with a thick lapel and pleated bodice. She also wears a turban wrap on her head and has her head and chin tilted upward.
