DescriptionSadie Orchard sits on the back of a horse and two other people and three dogs stand around her and the horse in a farmyard in Hillsboro, New Mexico. From left to right: A man is standing alongside a seated black and white dog (probably a Pit Bull Terrier) to his right. The dog is wearing a dark collar. The man is wearing dark pants, a white button-up collared shirt, dark colored suspenders, and a light colored hat. He has a thick mustache. In the center is a child holding onto the scruff of a long dark-haired dog standing to their left. The dog has its mouth open and tongue out. The child is wearing a light colored long sleeved shirt, dark overalls, and a light colored hat witha dark band around the center. The child is barefoot. To the childs left, slightly in the background sits the third dog with white short hair, looking towards the child. On the right of the frame, Sadie Orchard sits on horseback. The dark colored horse is standing at three-quarter profile facing center frame, and wears a bit, bridle, and reigns. Sadie is wearing a white long puffed sleeved blouse, a light colored long skirt, a dark top hat and medium length dark gloves. Sadie is holding onto the horse's reigns. A large tree covers the far right frame and its branches and leaves stretch over the top of the frame, shading the figures below it. In the background there are rolling hills and more trees. On View
