Label Text:Temple was inspired by a Mayan structure called the Nunnery at Chichén Itzá in Mexico’s
Yucatán, which dates to around 880 BCE. It also includes stamped relief images of Egyptian gods and goddesses and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. Carol Sarkisian lived for many years in Albuquerque, then Santa Fe with her husband, the painter Paul Sarkisian; their son Peter is an internationally renowned video artist and sculptor.
