    DescriptionMan's shoulder or bandolier bag, probably Choctaw c. 1830. Originally dated to 1799.

    Southeastern beaded bandolier bags were worn by men for social and cultural functions. Their beaded designs may have been drawn in part from the floral beadwork seen in hand beaded French reticules.
