The 10 lithographs in the series were inspired by three poems by Creeley: “Anger,” “The Woman,” and “Distance”. Altoon’s expressive style, fluid lines, and vaguely anatomical imagery explored the psychological and emotional complexities of relationships. His work often fused dreams and fantasies that were sometimes overtly political or erotic.
