DescriptionAn altar with a small saucer and a drawing of a cat with three snakes makes up the center of the Altar of the Snake Fraternity of the Hopi Indians, on display in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an Indian Museum. Along the left and right edges are rows of sticks and feathers. Two figures are mounted on the back of the altar, one wearing feathers around his body and the other with a striped upper body and feathers on a headpiece.
