DescriptionA man and woman and dog sit on a log in the Great Smoky Mountains. A jug labeled "corn" is at the man's feet and the woman is smoking a corn cob pipe. Handwriting on the front is written in ink and has spread through the wood grain, but seems to read, "Carroll my date" pointing to the man and, "Sassy Jane", pointed to the woman. Handwriting on the back reads, "Aug 4, 1947 Biloxi, Miss. Dear Ann, As you can tell from the card, I am down on the Gulf of Mexico. I got this card a few days ago but haven't had time to write it. We went to a barn dance in the Smokies. Had dates with [??]. Tonight, we went swimming in the Gulf after dark. Love, Martha"
