DescriptionA steel frame at a construction site for the Atomic Energy Commission Plant's addition in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Construction workers are on site with machinery and welding equipment. One worker welds the steel on top of the roof. Others are standing on the ground under the framework. A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Steel framework forms a pattern for nuclear expansion as workmen ready a $1,700,000 addition to the Atomic Energy Commission's South (336 Woodward Road Southeast) Albuquerque, N.M., works. The plant is operated by Nuclear Products - ERCO division of ACF (American Car & Foundry Industries, Inc.) Industries. The current phase of the expansion program is expected to be completed about June 1958."
