DescriptionThis axe head contains a narrow, diamond-pattern lower section that connected to the hilt, and two separate blades coming together to form the sharp, rounded edge of the axe. It was used for the purposes of the Civilian Conservation Corps, a government work relief program running from 1933 to 1942, helping to rebuild America's public lands, forests, and parks after the Great Depression.
