DescriptionAn informational sign about the tv and radio antennas on the top of Sandia Crest. The sign is titled "A Forest of Steel" and reads: "A "forest" of steel provides vital communication links for public safety and public service. TV towers on the Sandia Crest are located at a higher elevation than any others in the world. Over 30 facilities here have been authorized by the U.S. Forest Service to meet hte needs of a growing nation...for communications in the Electronic Age. One of the many uses of the Cibola National Forest."
