DescriptionCarved wooden crucifix. Cross is green is with red, black, and gold details. A small angel on the left catches blood flowing from the Christ figure's chest. The christ figure wears a white cloth around his waist with a large knot on the right side. A banner at the top of the cross reads "I.N.R.I."

Gustavo Victor Goler was raised in Santa Fe and spent his early years apprenticing in his family’s conservation studio, where he was taught to carve. His art practice includes researching the works, techniques, and history of carvers from all over the world. Goler embraces both traditional and new carving techniques.

Gustavo Victor Goler se crió en Santa Fe y pasó sus primeros años como aprendiz en el estudio de conservación de su familia, donde le enseñaron a tallar la madera. Su trabajo artesano abarca la investigación de las obras, las técnicas y la historia de los talladores de todo el mundo. La técnica de Goler abraza a la vez las formas de tallar santos tanto tradicionales como nuevas.
